Marie Annaise Fertil Jean

Marie Annaise Fertil, a lawyer at the firm of Jean Volney Bellamin & Associés in Port-de-Paix, spent most of her career working as a nursing assistant.

Her experiences as a health care worker led her to the Northwest Active Women’s Network (REFANO), where she is the coordinator of an umbrella group of 18 women’s associations focused on HIV/AIDS, child welfare, gender-based violence, civic responsibility and family planning education for men. A singer and poet, Marie also plans cultural events in the Northwest department.
